Безличные предложения

Правила

В русском языке мы встречаем предложения без подлежащего — безличные и неопределенно — личные предложения:

Очень жаль. Темнеет уже в долине. Так было, но так больше не будет.

В английском языке в аналогичных по смыслу предложениях имеются подлежащее,
обычно выраженные местоимениями it, they, one иногда you:

• It is late. — Поздно.
• It is difficult to say. — Трудно сказать.
• They say he is ill. — Говорят, он болен.
• One must not smoke here. — Здесь нельзя курить.
• You can never tell. — Трудно сказать. (Никогда нельзя сказать.)

They в таких предложениях можно сравнить со словом люди в предложении Люди говорят; one — со словом человек в предложении Когда человек внимателен, он делает мало ошибок.

Прочтите и переведите:

• Was it cold yesterday?
• What do they say about my article?
• It is very difficult to remember so many words.
• One must study well to remember them.
• You never know what questions may be asked.

А) в утвердительной форме
